What's with "Boy Clothes"?

Sometimes people ask why my instagram handle is @boy_clothes. I think it started in San Francisco. I was trying to help my friend name her band. She wore a lot of over oversized men's shirts and I loved that. I definitely adopted her style. One of the band names we came up with was Boy Clothes (it didn't make the cut). Around this time I also saw Annie Hall for the first time (best scene here).

Beyond Diane Keaton's iconic style in the film, I just fell in love with Annie's character, she made me feel like a weird girl in men's clothing was an ok thing to be. I do enjoy a good dress from time to time but someday I would love to have my own navy blue tailored suit or tuxedo. I feel best in a good pair of men's jeans or a button up, I just like wearing boy clothes.
